And yet, we humans are talking about such differences all the time.... though in the current age, sometimes first after casting a look over our shoulder to make sure no one is listening in....
It’s ridiculous. I was scheduled to go on BBC Radio 4 while I was on my book tour, but they cancelled at the last minute, supposedly because they ran out of time. That’s possible, of course. But my publicist thinks it’s also possible that they chickened out. That’s one of the problems with writing about a so-called controversial topic: You never know for sure what the real reason is. If they did chicken out, though, it’s so silly! The ideas in the book are no big deal to most people. It’s just within certain journalistic and academic bubbles that the claims are controversial.

And that's what so sad about contemporary discourse. In places where controversy should be welcomed, it's shunned.
